Mopedi is an offline wikipedia reader, available for Nokia Symbian touch screen phones and Windows and Mac computers.

The separately downloadable wikipedia databases have full article text and include images and equations. Location information is also included, so phone GPS can be used to search for places of interest close by, and those places can be visualized on map.

For Symbian Mopedi provides its own virtual keyboard for quick incremental searching, includes bookmarks and history, font setting, etc.

Windows and Mac

Windows and Mac version of Mopedi run on a laptop or desktop, using the same underlying databases. This PC version of Mopedi features integrated db manager that can be used to download and update databases, and to copy those on the phone.

Additionally, the PC version can use Nokia Maps when connected to internet to provide place lookups, routing for walks and driving.
